Job summary

Emergent Staffing is seeking a Buying/Purchasing Agent to join our Seattle team. The role supports inventory procurement, vendor management, PO processing, inbound shipments, and stock accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in purchasing or inventory, experience with ERP systems, and strong Excel/Outlook skills. This is a direct-hire, onsite role with occasional remote Fridays at the manager's discretion.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in purchasing, procurement, or inventory roles.
• Experience using an ERP system.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Team-oriented in a close-knit environment.

Responsibilities

• Create, process, and manage purchase orders.
• Coordinate with vendors on orders, deliveries, and inventory.
• Assist with inbound shipment tracking, consolidation, and reconciliation.
• Work with accounting to resolve invoice issues.
• Collaborate with warehouse teams to match incoming inventory.
• Support international purchasing from Europe and China.
• Maintain data in ERP and inventory systems.
• Assist with seasonal inventory planning and fulfillment.
• Support procurement for trade shows and product samples.
• Develop vendor relationships and improve purchasing processes.
