Job summary

Wurth-International-Trading-America is seeking an experienced Strategic Purchaser to lead procurement for key categories and drive supplier partnerships. You will negotiate long-term contracts, manage risk, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver cost savings and supply continuity.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 10 years in strategic purchasing, ERP experience (preferably SAP), and strong stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in strategic purchasing and procurement operations, including experience with import/export or trading environments.
Demonstrated experience in supplier management and development, as well as contract and commercial agreement negotiations.
Experience using procurement-related software platforms.
Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
Multilingual capabilities are considered an asset.
Strong focus on stakeholder satisfaction, including responsiveness and issue resolution

Responsibilities

Lead strategic procurement for assigned product categories and build supplier partnerships.
Negotiate and manage long-term contracts and purchasing terms, including pricing and delivery requirements.
Monitor supplier performance and manage risks with ongoing negotiations.
Onboard new suppliers and establish framework agreements and rebates.
Coordinate supplier meetings and cross-functional collaboration to drive cost and performance improvements.
Maintain accurate purchasing master data in ERP systems and ensure data integrity.
