Job summary

Sysco is seeking a purchasing professional to manage item movement, create and review purchase orders, and daily inventory checks. You will coordinate with pricing, vendors, and corporate to ensure correct PO pricing and timely logistics. Strong Excel and 10-key typing are expected.

You will maintain item data such as COO and origin details while minimizing shrink through proactive credits and returns handling.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review item movement to determine purchase needs, cut POs, review PO confirmations.
• Physically review inventory daily with focus on critical/sensitive items.
• Handle credits and returns promptly to minimize shrink.
• Work with pricing department, vendors and corporate to ensure PO pricing is accurate.
• Plan and source logistics to support customers and maximize profitability.
• Coordinate with Sales to maximize timely utilization of inventories, inventory turns and reduce shrink.
• Maintain accuracy and stay up to date on item maintenance, including COO (country of origin).
