Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead procurement of foodservice products, equipment, and supplies across multiple distribution centers. You will drive cost-effective purchasing strategies, optimize inventory levels, and manage supplier performance to ensure service continuity.

The role requires a strategic, data-driven leader who builds high-performing teams and engages stakeholders across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in purchasing, inventory management, demand planning, or related field.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience.
• Experience with purchasing, inventory, and demand management systems; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing and inventory activities across multiple distribution centers.
• Ensure adequate inventory to meet sales and service-level objectives.
• Monitor inventory performance; optimize stock while reducing costs.
• Negotiate with suppliers; manage supplier performance and terms.
• Collaborate with DC teams to prioritize critical purchase orders.
