Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC seeks an Inventory Planner to manage supplier inventory goals, maintain PO accuracy, minimize spoilage and shrink, and support supply chain efficiency. You will work with shipping, warehousing, and merchandising teams to optimize stock levels and replenishment processes.

The role requires 3+ years in inventory management or purchasing within retail/wholesale/distribution, proficiency in Excel, and ability to analyze KPI dashboards. Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in inventory management/purchasing in retail/wholesale/distribution.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory levels while maximizing customer service levels.
• Manage inventory DSO, aged, obsolete, spoilage, and shrink to meet goals.
• Collaborate with merchandising teams, suppliers, and other functions.
• Demonstrate proficiency with the Manhatten Demand Planning Replenishment (DPR) tool to drive KPIs.
• Work with logistics to maximize supply chain efficiencies.
• Develop programs with Inbound Planning to optimize receiving/warehousing.
• Manage SKU count (2300-4000 vendor direct, 3500+ redistributed) and resolve replenishment issues.
• Execute purchasing of new items and proper system setups.
• Process Salesforce 360 requests including NISR and MSR timely.
• Follow market guidelines and respond to seasonal trends.
