Job summary

Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles is seeking a procurement professional to perform large-scale purchasing of equipment, services, and supplies for the agency and its affiliates. You will assist with bid reviews, vendor relations, and contract administration while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

The role includes preparing purchase orders, maintaining open PO records, and conducting trainings on procurement processes for internal departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field plus three years' experience in large-scale purchasing of equipment, supplies, or services for a public agency.
• Must possess a valid California Class C Driver's License.
• Experience with procurement policies, bid processes, and contract administration while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist departments in the procurement process by providing correct solicitation forms and reviewing bids and specifications.
• Prepare purchase orders and ensure compliance with contract terms, scopes of work, pricing, and insurance requirements.
• Maintain open purchase orders and coordinate complex competitive procurement activities.
• Provide procurement training and guidance to internal customers on policies and procedures.
• Resolve discrepancies and disputes related to deliveries, contracts, and invoicing.
