Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a provider recruitment leader to manage the end-to-end process for physicians and APPs, coordinating sourcing, interviewing, and hiring across the system.

You will develop strategic recruitment initiatives, provide market data, and collaborate with leaders to fill hard-to-fill roles while showcasing the organization's culture and community impact.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, healthcare administration, or related field.
  • Experience in recruiting, marketing, personnel, or related activities is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.
  • Experience with ICims or comparable applicant tracking tools is required.
  • Understanding of healthcare environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement the provider recruiting process for permanent physician and APP searches across the Carle Health system.
  • Manage the full provider recruitment process from initial contact through hiring.
  • Plan, develop, and direct strategic provider recruitment initiatives aligned with organizational needs and goals.
  • Outline recruitment opportunity details to support proactive sourcing and candidate engagement strategies.
  • Develop staffing process improvements and recommend recruitment strategies.
  • Provide leadership with market data and insights for recruitment decisions.
  • Guide leaders and candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Conduct telephone interviews to assess applicant interest and position and behavioral fit.
  • Prepare candidate summaries and present relevant information to leadership.
  • Partner with leadership to evaluate candidates and make hiring recommendations.
  • Showcase Carle as a healthcare organization, including its community and culture.
  • Liaise among candidates, organizational leaders, community contacts, and relocation-related contacts.
  • Coordinate and evaluate site visits and candidate interviews.
  • Coordinate and attend recruitment dinners, meetings, and events.
  • Follow recruitment policies and procedures while considering legal, economic, and political factors.
  • Maintain knowledge of the provider candidate pool and national healthcare recruitment trends.
  • Identify marketing development opportunities based on candidate quality and market conditions.
  • Build credibility and trust with varied audiences.
  • Attend and collaborate in team, departmental, committee, Medical Group physician, and other relevant meetings.
  • Provide activity updates and strategize on hard-to-fill positions and upcoming recruitment needs.
  • Coordinate sourcing plans targeting qualified candidate pools.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity and candidate-status tracking in the applicant tracking system and other tools.
  • Organize and participate in conventions, specialty meetings, job fairs, professional meetings, and local community events.
  • Receive feedback and improve recruitment processes and procedures.
  • Travel as required.

Job description

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license through the Illinois Secretary of State
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, marketing, healthcare administration, or equivalent area of study
  • Previous experience in recruiting, marketing, personnel, or related activities is preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite is required
  • Experience with iCims or comparable applicant tracking tools is required
  • Understanding of the healthcare and medical environment is preferred
  • Ability to provide onsite support for candidate interviews is required
  • Ability to travel to the Champaign, Bloomington-Normal, and/or Peoria regions as needed
