Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking an experienced Proposal Manager to lead complex proposals and presentations across North America. You will drive capture planning, coordinate subject matter experts, and craft compliant, compelling responses to RFPs/RFQs while tailoring messages to win themes and client needs.

The role emphasizes leadership, training, and guidance of teams, with strong writing, editing, and design oversight to deliver polished proposals and persuasive client presentations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience developing strategic submissions in the AEC industry.
• Excellent oral, written, and visual communication including editing and proofreading.
• Strong ability to manage and motivate others, stimulating creativity.
• Effective communication with technical staff and management, fostering collaboration.
• Excellent time and project management with fast-paced, multi-team environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead proposal strategy and development of creative, compelling proposals across all practices.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and SMEs to develop capture plans, win strategies, and client value propositions.
• Coordinate with technical staff to develop strategic proposal responses and ensure compliance.
• Highlight strengths and differentiators throughout proposals and presentations.
• Lead and participate in proposal meetings, reviews, and related activities.
• Review drafts for responsiveness, accuracy, and quality; ensure consistent writing style and layout.
