Job summary

Forvis Mazars, LLP seeks a Lead Proposal Specialist to guide pursuit strategy and content across selected opportunities. You will manage kickoff, timeline, drafting, and stakeholder coordination to deliver compelling, client-centered proposals.

The role partners with national and sector leaders, content teams, and reviewers to improve speed, quality, and consistency while maintaining risk and brand standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant area.
• 3-5 years of experience in proposal management, pursuit strategy, marketing or business development, or related field.
• Strong proposal writing, editing, storytelling, and strategy skills.
• Executive presence and communication to lead kickoff calls and strategy discussions.
• Knowledge of RFP analysis, content reuse, and draft management.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with proposal automation, content management, and MS Office.
• Collaborative working style and ability to mentor without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned RFPs, proactive proposals, oral presentations, and other pursuit deliverables from planning through final delivery.
• Evaluate proposal requirements and guide teams on client needs, drivers, criteria, differentiators, and content requirements.
• Serve as sector/industry pod lead, coordinating activity with national leaders and stakeholders.
• Translate priorities into proposal-ready guidance, themes, pain points, and reusable language.
• Partner with proposal specialists, designers, and reviewers to coordinate deliverables across opportunities.
• Identify reusable content and refresh service descriptions to ensure consistency across tools.
