Forvis Mazars US is seeking a Lead Proposal Specialist to manage proposal planning, strategy, content development, and workflow for strategic pursuits. The role collaborates with partners, senior client service professionals, sector leaders, and the National Proposal Team to deliver client-centered materials and an Unmatched Client Experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant area.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in proposal management, pursuit strategy, marketing or business development, professional services, sector or industry marketing, content strategy, or a related field
• Demonstrated proposal writing, editing, storytelling, and strategy skills, including translating client needs into clear language
• Executive presence and communication skills to lead kickoff calls and strategy discussions
• Working knowledge of proposal best practices including RFP analysis, content reuse, and draft management
• Understanding of sector/industry nuances and client pain points
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with deadlines
• Proficiency with proposal automation and content management tools; MS Office; ability to use AI-enabled drafting
• Collaborative style with ability to mentor others without direct supervision

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned RFPs, proactive proposals, oral presentations, and other pursuit deliverables from planning through final delivery.
• Guide teams on client needs, opportunity drivers, evaluation criteria, differentiators, win themes, and content requirements.
• Coordinate proposal activity and align with national sector and industry leaders, marketing professionals, and stakeholders.
• Translate sector priorities into proposal-ready guidance and reusable language for tailoring across pursuits.
• Partner with proposal specialists, production specialists, designers, content team, and reviewers to improve consistency across opportunities.
• Identify reusable content and refresh service descriptions to ensure consistency across proposal tools.
• Use approved templates and AI-enabled resources to improve speed, quality, and risk management.
• Share pod-level insights with National Proposal Team leadership and stakeholders.
