4LEAF, Inc. in Pleasanton, CA, is seeking a full-time Proposal Writer/Marketing Assistant. You will support proposal development, content management, and marketing initiatives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The role emphasizes strong writing, organization, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines while coordinating with project managers and subject matter experts. On-site work, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or related field.
• 1–3 years of proposal, technical, or marketing writing experience.
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and content organization skills.
• Solid project management skills; organized, self-directed and deadline-driven.
• Strong interpersonal skills; able to collaborate with internal teams and experts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook) with advanced formatting.
• Knowledge of visual design principles; Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) preferred.
• Experience with digital asset management, CRM, or marketing databases a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review RFPs to identify requirements, deadlines, win themes, and submission criteria.
• Manage the proposal process from receipt to final delivery with stakeholders.
• Draft, edit, format, and assemble proposals, qualification packages, and presentations.
• Ensure submissions are client-focused, technically accurate, and on-brand.
• Develop original content including project descriptions, staff qualifications, and value messaging.
• Create and maintain reusable proposal content and marketing assets.
• Support fact-checking, version control, and quality control of materials.
• Assist in developing marketing communications across print, web, email, and social media.
• Attend conferences/events to represent 4LEAF and promote services.
