Job summary

EchoStar seeks a Proposals Engineering Analyst to support Manufacturing and Distribution by turning complex engineering data into accurate cost estimates for bids and proposals. You’ll bridge technical standards with commercial needs, leveraging AI-driven capacity tools and Lean principles.

You will partner with Sales, Finance, and Operations to ensure profitable, feasible bids, drive efficiency, and uphold engineering standards across distribution and manufacturing lines in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree required with 3–5 years in industrial engineering, manufacturing ops, or production planning.
• Experience building cost models, capacity analysis, and bid estimates for manufacturing or distribution projects.
• Proficiency in Excel (data modeling, pivots, macros) and data visualization tools (Tableau/PowerBI).
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive efficiency and cost reduction.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements and SOWs into detailed engineering estimates.
• Maintain current engineering standards for distribution and manufacturing processes.
• Evaluate impact of bid volume on facility capacity using capacity analysis tools and predictive modeling.
• Develop business cases with ROI, labor savings, and material cost avoidance for new initiatives.
• Act as technical point of contact during RFP/RFQ processes with cross-functional teams.
