Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking a Project Manager to lead enterprise initiatives within the Strategic Projects team in a Fortune 500 context. You will own project life cycles across verticals—Operational Support, Continuous Improvement, and Innovation & Integrations—driving change and value for the organization.

The role requires 3+ years managing enterprise projects, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate matrixed resources. Travel is less than 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and 3+ years leading enterprise projects.
• Proven ability to define and execute change strategies.
• Ability to influence and manage external resources in a matrixed environment.
• Strong leadership to motivate and lead cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities within a project.
• Strong business analytics to solve complex issues.
• Excellent oral and written communication across levels.
• Proficiency in MS Office and PM tools (Smartsheet, Azure DevOps, MS Projects).
• PMP/Lean Sigma/SCRUM/Agile certifications encouraged; Big 4 experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute project scope, goals and deliverables aligned to business needs.
• Build project teams and coordinate to maximize productivity and velocity.
• Apply Waterfall or Agile plans to support goals.
• Communicate progress, risks, and escalations across the organization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders including senior executives and sponsors.
• Create and maintain project documentation: status reports, plans, analyses.
• Adapt approach and PM methodology as needed for success.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and drive change.
• Enhance department reputation by owning new requests and value adds.
• Seek personal growth through education and professional networks.
• Travel as needed (less than 25%).
