Job summary

City of Aurora seeks a Senior Special Projects Manager to oversee major city initiatives, reporting to the City Manager's Office. You will manage projects across departments, drive process improvements, and guide budgets and strategic plans to achieve community goals.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 7 years of PM experience, plus a Colorado driver’s license. A focus on continuous improvement and stakeholder collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Political Science or directly related field.
• 7 years progressively responsible experience in project management.
• Colorado Driver's License with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist executive management in managing and coordinating city initiatives, policies, and projects.
• Lead special projects including identifying and implementing process improvements.
• Support projects and strategic planning from inception to delivery across departments.
• Establish and guide short, mid, and long-range financial plans and project budgets.
• Collaborate with executives to identify strategic opportunities and translate them into actionable plans.
• Conduct research, data analysis, and feasibility assessments for decision-making.
