Job summary

Hawaiian Electric Company seeks a Project Scheduler for Oahu to support maintenance planning across overhauls and outages. You will develop and maintain schedules, coordinate with engineering and operations, and ensure timely, safe execution of work plans while minimizing downtime.

The role requires strong scheduling software proficiency, a solid engineering background, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to optimize resources and meet project deadlines on the island of Oahu.

Qualifications

• Advanced college level courses in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in project engineering, project management and construction for electric utilities.

Responsibilities

• Review planned work for overhauls, outages, and station backlog to determine scope, duration, priority and resource needs.
• Develop and maintain workforce schedules for overhauls, outages, maintenance and the five-year plan to maximize resource use.
• Analyze schedule logic, priorities, unit availability, material and labor constraints using scheduling software.
• Coordinate with Leads, Supervisors, Engineering, Operations Supervisors and Resource Planners to ensure work is defined, safe, and ready for execution.
• Produce reports on schedule compliance, resource utilization and backlog, driving continuous improvement.
• Update department intranet site and visual media with scheduling information.
• Support two-way communication and continuous improvement; participate in emergency response activities as assigned.
