Job summary

Populous is seeking a Project Planning Coordinator in San Diego to support Project Managers on large projects across civic, sports, and entertainment venues. You will craft and adjust project plans in Deltek Vantagepoint, help prepare proposals, and monitor invoices and budgets.

AEC background is preferred, with strong communication and organizational skills. The role offers a hybrid work schedule and opportunities for professional development, licensure support, and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Project Management, or related discipline.
• 3+ years' experience in a similar role.
• Previous experience in the AEC industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in crafting project plans using Deltek Vantagepoint.
• Oversee and adjust project plans as issues arise.
• Contribute to proposal formation using project plan data.
• Track proposal approvals and update the project plan accordingly.
• Coordinate with Project Accountant and Project Manager to manage invoice submission and tracking.
• Monitor project expenses in Vantagepoint and identify variances from budget.
• Compile and distribute project financial reports for PMs and Principals.
