Job Description
AECOM Sports is seeking an Architectural Project Manager based in Kansas City, MO, Los Angles, CA or Dallas, TX to lead and execute interdisciplinary projects with a focus on Sports, Public Assembly, and Higher Education projects. The role will be responsible for managing scope, schedule, and budget of projects across the project lifecycle.
- Plan and manage project staffing requirements, report project performance, and identify and address scope creep, schedule, or quality issues.
- Engage with interdisciplinary technical leads, team leaders, client contacts, and partner firms.
- Review and negotiate contracts and prepare fee proposals.
- Manage and lead teams and staff across business lines, subconsultants, and third parties.
- Develop strategy, mitigation efforts, proposals, and contract reviews, leading project teams to execute projects.
- Support business development efforts to engage new client opportunities.
- Coordinate internal resources and subcontractors for execution of projects.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on‑time, within scope, and within budget.
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Develop and monitor a detailed project plan to track progress and identify shortfalls.
- Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs to minimize risk.
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Report and escape to management as needed.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
- Maintain project documentation control.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, plus four years of related experience (or demonstrated equivalency of education and experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in Architecture or Engineering leading multidisciplinary teams on business development and project deliverables.
- 4+ years with specific Project Management experience in Sports Venues.
- Experience in implementing design quality assurance and quality control activities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated team‑building ability, and internal/external networking skills.
- Ability to interact regularly and professionally with senior management and technical staff in other offices on business development and project execution issues.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proven organizational skills with a proven track record in client satisfaction.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000.
All newly hired employees are required to attend an in‑person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment.
