Nebraska Public Media is seeking a Project Management Specialist to act as the central hub for project planning, coordination, documentation, accountability, and process improvement across the organization.

The role involves managing cross-functional projects, clarifying scope and timelines, tracking progress, and guiding teams to align with organization-wide project management guidelines. It also supports HR functions in a back-up capacity and drives efficiency and transparency in operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, organizational development, management, or related field with 3 years of experience coordinating projects or cross-functional work.
• Master’s degree preferred for higher qualification.
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Serve as central project management facilitator and operational resource.
• Clarify project scope, timelines, resources, and decisions with sponsors and leaders.
• Track progress, document decisions, and monitor deliverables for timely completion.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement practical improvements to workflows and processes.
• Provide back-up support for HR functions as needed.
