Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Management & Commercial Lead to advance consistent, best-in-class project delivery. Reporting to the Senior PMCL, you will coach and monitor PM performance, drive PM practices, and advise on commercial evaluation across the PM cadre.

You will contribute to HSSE implementation, leadership of PM teams, and alignment with Stantec’s PM framework. This full-time role offers exposure to international project delivery and a breadth of client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or comparable technical, business, or professional degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
• Strong project management skills, with experience in organizing, planning, and executing projects from pursuit through closeout.
• Ability to identify a project heading towards distress and provide mitigation or corrective action.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external customers.
• Understanding of Stantec financial methodologies, procedures, and policies.
• Knowledge of contracts and commercial agreements.

Responsibilities

• Support PMs with implementing project-focused HSSE practices.
• Collaborate with BC leadership to assign projects and PIR coverage.
• Oversee assigned PM staff to ensure timely, effective performance.
• Lead training sessions on Oracle dashboard, IPS, ETC, change management and PM activities.
• Provide feedback on individual performance and contribute to project delivery processes.
• Serve as PIR and monitor project performance, budget, schedule, risk and quality.
• Drive adherence to PM requirements and risk management processes.
• Support project-setup activities including Oracle setup and intercompany agreements.
• Pursue billable work and manage scope, schedule, budget and risk for projects.
