Job summary

Chris Baily seeks a Project Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage the financial lifecycle of projects, ensuring accurate cost tracking, forecasting, invoicing, and timely collections. This role bridges project management and finance to keep projects on budget and AR aging minimized.

Responsibilities include coordinating with global teams, tracking costs, verifying revenue recognition, and preparing profitability reports for leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related financial field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in logistics, construction, or infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of construction/project-based accounting and WIP schedules.
• High accuracy and attention to detail with solid time management.
• Strong data entry skills and mathematical aptitude.
• Advanced Excel skills and QuickBooks Desktop experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial lifecycle of projects, tracking labor, materials, and subcontractor costs against budget.
• Ensure forecast and budgeting accuracy with project managers and cost controllers.
• Verify revenue recognition aligns with contracts and percentage completion.
• Handle project compliance including lien waivers, W-9s, and certificates.
• Perform month-end close activities for projects and prepare invoices, including AIA billings.
• Monitor aging, collect receivables via phone and email to minimize bad debt.
• Resolve billing discrepancies with project teams and customers.
• Prepare project profitability reports for management and assist with cash flow planning.
