Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) is seeking a Program Operations Manager to coordinate a multidisciplinary portfolio across the National Security Analysis Department. You will support program and project reviews, manage sponsor engagement, and work with security, contracts, and technical staff to ensure successful delivery.

You will collaborate with PMs and PjMs to set priorities, prepare SOPs, and organize meetings and logistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business, technical, or related field or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of demonstrated experience in administrative or technical support positions.
• Experience managing documentation, logistics, compliance processes, and stakeholder coordination.
• Proficient with project management and collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Box, Slack and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Set priorities with PMs and PjMs to resolve issues from initiation to closure, developing SOPs to meet deadlines and sponsor requirements.
• Prepare and organize information for internal and external program reviews, including technical material reviews.
• Plan, organize, and facilitate meetings and conferences for internal and external participants and sponsors; manage scheduling and logistics.
• Collaborate with security, quality, contracts, and other teams to organize support and monitor deliverables against the contract or task plan.
• Understand the technical work to convey methodology, impact, and importance; assist in developing the Statement of Work and ensure adherence through collaboration.
