Job summary

UTHealth Houston is seeking a Program Manager to support Academic Programs and Events within the Office of Development and Alumni Engagement. The role serves as a central resource to enhance planning, promotion, and delivery of academic events while ensuring compliance, cost effectiveness, and brand consistency.

You will collaborate with faculty and staff to help departments comply with university policies and procedures; an events background is essential for logistics and planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; equivalent years of experience may substitute.
• 3+ years of experience in development, events, communications, marketing, or related field; healthcare/academic environment preferred.
• Experience with academic or health symposia is a plus.
• On-site with hybrid work schedule; familiarity with university policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage program-related projects and activities with timelines and status tracking.
• Lead program strategies with stakeholders to meet timelines, deliverables, and budgets; manage PO/invoice routing.
• Serve as liaison with internal/external constituencies on program matters and projects.
• Build partnerships with key partners; communicate expectations and provide guidance to teams.
• Identify opportunities to enhance program operations and achieve department goals.
• Oversee collection and analysis of program activity data; ensure compliance with laws and UTHealth policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
