Job summary

The University of Houston is seeking a senior manager to direct Constituent Engagement programs, guiding a portfolio of donor, alumni, presidential, and university events to advance fundraising and engagement priorities. You will lead cross-functional teams, set event strategy, outcomes, and measures of success.

Qualifications

  • Requires a thorough understanding of program administration and advanced analytical skills.
  • Minimum of three years of directly job-related experience; education may be substituted for experience.
  • Strong ability to plan, implement and monitor program activities and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Provides strategic leadership for a portfolio of donor, alumni, presidential, and university events that advance fundraising and engagement priorities.
  • Leads signature events from concept through evaluation, establishing event strategy, outcomes, audience experience, project plans, and success measures.
  • Advises university and division leadership on event strategy, protocol, hospitality, and opportunities to strengthen donor and alumni experience.
  • Directs cross-functional teams and campus partners, ensuring clear roles, accountability, communication, and alignment across all phases of event planning and execution.
  • Develops and implements event standards, processes, metrics, and continuous improvement strategies that enhance efficiency and fiscal responsibility.
