Job summary

CRRC MA Corporation in Springfield, MA is seeking a qualified Production Planner Scheduler/Controller to organize production according to demand and quality standards. You will maintain the production schedule, coordinate with shop floor teams, and drive improvements to ensure on-time, cost-efficient manufacturing that meets customer expectations.

You will collaborate across departments, manage resources, and apply Lean/Six Sigma principles to optimize processes and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree preferred with proven experience as production planner.
• Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles.
• Experience in MRP II (Manufacturing resource planning).
• Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems (SAP highly preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the production schedule and other reports as required.
• Follow-up with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation.
• Interact with shop floor management daily to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies.
• Coordinate production workflow for multiple products.
• Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
• Determine manpower, equipment and components needed to cover production demand.
• Schedule shifts; monitor jobs to ensure on-time and within-budget completion.
• Address issues to minimize disruption.
• Prepare and submit status and performance reports.
• Collaborate with quality control, warehouse, procurement, and other staff.
• Build quality into processes and align with quality objectives; monitor target levels.
• Suggest cost, quality, and productivity improvements.
• Support Continuous Improvement activities (Lean, Six Sigma).
• Perform related tasks as assigned.
