Job summary

GCX, located in Franklin, MA, seeks a Production Planner/Scheduler to drive production planning for multiple value streams. You will analyze demand, inventory, BOMs, routings, lead times, and capacity, determining feasible plans that align with customer commitments and plant objectives.

Work independently to balance service, efficiency, and costs, while coordinating with Purchasing, Materials, Engineering, Quality, and Customer Service to optimize schedules.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing with independent analysis.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and interpreting planning data beyond data entry.
• Knowledge of BOMs, routings, lead times, capacity, and inventory management.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willingness to work on the manufacturing floor to gather information.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain master, weekly, and daily production schedules to meet customer commitments.
• Analyze orders, forecasts, inventory, lead times, and capacity to determine feasible production plans.
• Balance priorities and allocate constrained capacity among competing orders.
• Escalate issues with alternatives and recommendations to Operations management for decision.
• Identify bottlenecks and coordinate corrective actions across functions.
