Val-Matic Valve & Mfg. Corp in Elmhurst, IL seeks a Planner III to drive production planning and procurement for purchased and manufactured parts.

You will own the full planning cycle for our most complex parts, coordinate SVOP activities, and work with sales, operations, and procurement to align with strategic objectives. The role emphasizes scheduling, inventory optimization, cost reduction, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or related.
• 5+ years’ experience in sourcing, procurement, production planning or scheduling, or supply chain management with multi-level end-to-end planning.
• Analytical, project management and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge in process mapping and documenting.
• Excellent communication at all levels.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Establish the production schedules and monitor inventory for materials and finished goods.
• Plan and release manufacturing orders based on material requirements planning (MRP).
• Lead weekly plan and schedule reviews with operations and management.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and lead times while maintaining quality.
• Support demand planning processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate SVOP activities with sales, operations, and procurement.
