Job summary

A global industrial machinery manufacturer is seeking a Production Planner in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. The ideal candidate will manage production schedules, coordinate inventory, and work with various teams on production planning activities. This role offers visibility and direct reporting to senior leadership, allowing engagement across the full manufacturing lifecycle. Seeking candidates with 1-3 years of experience and strong skills in ERP/MRP systems and Excel.

Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Create and manage daily and weekly production schedules.
Release and track manufacturing orders within ERP/MRP systems.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material availability.
Communicate production delays or scheduling conflicts to internal stakeholders.
Analyze production performance metrics such as efficiency, scrap, and output.
Identify production bottlenecks and implement recovery plans.
Collaborate cross-functionally with production, purchasing, sales, and shipping teams.
Generate production planning reports and support continuous improvement initiatives.
