Job summary

Ultium Cells is hiring a Production Planner in Warren, OH to coordinate daily and weekly production schedules for the electrode department, manage inventory, and support purchasing activities. You will work across production, engineering, maintenance, and supply chain teams to ensure on-time materials and efficient operations.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field or 5+ years of planning experience, strong communication, ERP and Excel skills, and the ability to lift up to 50

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field; OR 5+ years in production planning, scheduling, or related experience.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and production planning processes.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with production, engineering, maintenance, and supply chain teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules for the Electrode Department to support targets and customer demand.
• Monitor production performance, inventory levels, manpower availability, and material flow to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate and track purchasing activities including PRs and POs, deliveries, and goods receipt status.
• Review purchasing transactions for accuracy and follow up on open items, delays, or discrepancies.
• Report purchasing concerns and material shortages to leadership for timely resolution.
• Support cost tracking and spending visibility by maintaining purchasing and inventory records.
• Synchronize information flow between logistics and purchasing systems.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams.
