Job summary

High Steel Service Center in Lancaster, PA is seeking a Production & Inventory Planner to optimize production scheduling and inventory control, aligning with Purchasing, Sales, and Shipping. The role drives efficient material flow, reduces waste, and improves on-time delivery.

Candidates should have APICS CPIM certification, a BS in a related field, and strong ERP/SAP experience; the job emphasizes collaboration, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• 5 years of hands-on scheduling in a fast-paced production environment.
• APICS CPIM certification is required.
• Strong mathematical skills and effective communication.
• Experience with SAP ERP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish materials requirements and capacity at work centers.
• Create production and inventory plans aligned with forecast.
• Monitor schedule execution and inventory performance.
• Prepare forward-looking production plans based on capacity constraints.
• Communicate gaps and recovery actions to Sales and Production.
