Job summary

High Steel Service Center in Lancaster, PA, is seeking a Production & Inventory Planner to optimize production and inventory, maximize efficiency, and meet customer service goals. The role coordinates between purchasing, sales, and shop operations to keep schedules aligned.

This is a first-shift, office-based position offering comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth within The High Companies. APICS CPIM certification and SAP experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Supply Chain Management or similar.
• 5 years of hands-on scheduling in fast-paced production.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish capacities at each work center with Production, Purchasing, and Sales.
• Set inventory requirements at SKU level based on forecast.
• Monitor and report schedule execution and inventory performance.
• Prepare forward-scheduled production plans with finite capacity.
• Communicate schedule changes to Sales and leadership.
• Attend daily production meetings and coordinate recovery plans.
• Maintain Bills of Materials and routings for stock items.
