Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support plant operations across Bristol, CT and Preston, CT. You will lead strategic sourcing, supplier qualification, and contract administration to strengthen reliability, control costs, and ensure environmentally responsible procurement.

Qualifications

• At least three years of relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, purchasing, supply chain, contract administration, supplier management, or industrial operations.
• Working knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier qualification and development, competitive bidding, commercial negotiations, and contract management.
• Experience purchasing or managing services, including reviewing scopes of work, evaluating labor hours and costs, and comparing supplier proposals with technical stakeholders.
• Experience using procurement, supply chain, or ERP platforms for quoting, bidding, purchase orders, and delivery tracking.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives aligned with facility needs and corporate procurement objectives.
• Identify, qualify, and develop new suppliers to expand sourcing options and improve service capabilities.
• Manage supplier qualification, onboarding, ongoing relationships, and performance oversight.
• Lead RFP processes, bid solicitations, evaluations, pricing analyses, and supplier selection.
• Coordinate bid reviews, supplier conferences, and technical discussions.
• Lead cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining quality, safety, and service expectations.
• Partner with Operations and Engineering to define scopes of work and supplier expectations for plant services and maintenance.
• Negotiate commercial terms and facilitate contract awards.
