Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Procurement Specialist in the Birmingham, AL area to lead local and regional procurement activities. You will manage supplier qualification, RFPs, negotiations, and contract administration while collaborating with Operations, Engineering and Maintenance teams.

The role emphasizes cost reduction, KPI reporting, and compliance with company policies. Travel up to 25% to regional facilities is required; a bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, finance, or technical discipline.
• ISM and/or APICS certification is highly desired.
• 5+ years of procurement and supply management experience.

Responsibilities

• Supplier qualification and relationship management.
• Manage RFPs, bid receipt, market comparisons, evaluation and negotiations.
• Coordinate bid review conferences and walk downs.
• Finalization activities including negotiations and contract follow-up.
• Purchase order placement and expediting.
• Lead total cost reduction initiatives and support supplier QA programs.
• Supplier performance analysis and contract compliance oversight.
• Prepare cost reporting for annual budgeting.
