The role collaborates with vendors, project teams, and internal departments on specifications, pricing, and delivery, while promoting BA-BAA compliance, accurate records, and long-term supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field; 3+ years procurement experience.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Strong knowledge of construction materials (piping, sheet metal, electrical, related accessories).
• Strong organizational skills and understanding of project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for construction materials to meet project timelines and budget constraints.
• Work with vendors and project managers on material procurement.
• Review project specifications, material take-offs, and technical docs with engineering/construction teams.
• Monitor market trends, pricing, and lead times to mitigate procurement risks for estimating and projects.
• Coordinate with quality control, logistics, and warehousing to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
• Maintain procurement records, track material status, and generate stakeholder reports.
• Understand Buy America (BA-BAA) domestic standards and apply in procurement.
• Notify estimators and business units of material pricing changes and availability.
• Assist in project kickoff meetings and shop ticketing processes.
