Job summary

Baker Group in Ankeny, IA is seeking a Senior QA/QC Specialist to lead planning, execution, and documentation of quality requirements across complex industrial projects, ensuring compliance with the QMS and client specifications.

You will mentor staff, develop Project Quality Plans, manage NCRs, coordinate inspections, and collaborate with project teams to drive quality improvements and successful project turnover.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years in industrial construction quality or five+ with a bachelor’s degree.
• Experience independently planning and executing QA/QC activities incl. ITPs, inspections, audits, NCRs, and turnover.
• Knowledge of contract documents, drawings, specs, codes, and standards.
• Ability to mentor others and communicate professionally with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA/QC activities and kickoff meetings for complex projects.
• Develop, review, and maintain Project Quality Plans, ITPs, and ITRs with the team.
• Identify, document, evaluate, and track NCRs with containment and corrective actions.
• Coordinate quality requirements across multiple disciplines and with subcontractors.
• Maintain project quality records and support turnover package assembly.
