Job summary

Baker Group in Ankeny, IA seeks a Cost Engineer to support the project controls team by developing cost reports, forecasting costs, and tracking expenditures on industrial projects.

You will create WIP plans from schedules, maintain cost reporting templates, and analyze variances with project managers. Strong Excel and ERP skills required; Procore and Spectrum/P6 experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or the equivalent through experience (typically six years of related progressive work experience).
• Extensive practical experience with MS Office application (Excel, Word, Access).
• At least 2 years of Accounting or Financial industry specific experience.
• Ability to understand and communicate Earned Value Concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop project specific cost reports and track project cost information.
• Forecast project cost and analyze trends for monthly reporting.
• Create and maintain WIP plans using schedule, budget, and procurement data.
• Develop and maintain project cost reporting templates and dashboards.
• Ensure accuracy of automated reports and support monthly owner reporting.
