Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Several years of progressive purchasing or procurement experience.
• Strong knowledge of sourcing, purchasing, supplier management, and negotiation practices.
• Proven ability to evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery, and service.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and purchasing or ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with organizational requirements.
• Source materials, products, and services from qualified suppliers.
• Evaluate pricing, quality, delivery schedules, and supplier performance.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and address quality, cost, and delivery issues.
• Identify opportunities to diversify the supplier base.
• Support supplier evaluations and qualification activities.
• Manage purchase orders and ensure accurate, timely processing.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve purchasing, inventory, and delivery issues.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
• Analyze purchasing data and market conditions to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support initiatives to improve procurement efficiency and reduce costs.
• Monitor market trends and supplier capabilities to support informed decisions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes.
