Job summary

JMJ PHILLIP is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement activities, supplier relationships, and sourcing strategies to ensure timely availability of quality materials.

You will lead a procurement team, develop cost-saving initiatives, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with operations and finance to optimize purchasing processes.

The role requires strong negotiation, analytical, organizational, and leadership skills, with a focus on compliance and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Procurement, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts.
• Strong understanding of purchasing processes, inventory management, and cost analysis.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and purchasing or ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day purchasing and procurement activities.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with operational requirements.
• Monitor purchasing processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely delivery.
• Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor supplier performance, quality, and reliability.
• Analyze purchasing costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing requirements.
• Ensure appropriate materials and supplies are available when needed.
• Lead and support purchasing team members.
• Establish performance expectations and improve procurement processes.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, and other departments to address purchasing needs.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
• Ensure procurement activities follow established policies and procedures.
• Prepare purchasing reports and analyze procurement performance.
