Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Agent 2 to support growing business lines. The role bridges the Procurement team with executives, engineering, sales, and manufacturing to ensure timely, high‑quality procurement across major programs.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of related experience, strong communication, and deep knowledge of sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor management. A competitive benefits package and salary are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of related experience.
• Purchasing experience sourcing, negotiating contracts with Original Equipment Manufacturers, construction /specialty trade subcontractors and fabricators.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between the Procurement team and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Program/Project teams to manage high visibility and high value programs.
• Conduct procurement planning during the bidding phase.
• Source, identify, and prequalify vendors; develop comprehensive RFPs.
• Analyze quotes; negotiate and finalize agreements.
• Develop Procurement Plan and manage post‑award implementation.
