Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Senior Purchasing Agent to support its growing businesses. You will liaison between Procurement and internal teams, manage high-visibility programs, and ensure timely execution across the project portfolio.

Responsibilities include bid-phase planning, vendor prequalification, contract negotiation, and post-award plan implementation, with travel to sites and vendors as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 7 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement planning during the bidding phase and develop RFPs.
• Post-award procurement planning and implementation on major projects.
• Analyze market conditions, pricing trends, lead times and logistics.
• Read, interpret contracts, drawings, specs, and schedules.
• Travel to project sites, manufacturers and vendors as needed.
