Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Purchasing Agent to support its growing portfolio of projects.

You will liaison between Procurement and internal teams, manage procurement plans, and coordinate with engineering, sales, and manufacturing to ensure timely, cost-effective sourcing. You will analyze quotes, negotiate with vendors, and develop procurement plans for major programs while staying aligned with market conditions, contract terms, and project schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2 years of purchasing experience.
• Experience sourcing and negotiating contracts with Original Equipment Manufacturers, construction / specialty trade subcontractors and fabricators.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key liaison between the Procurement team and internal stakeholders including Executive Team, Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing.
• Work closely with Program/Project teams to manage high-visibility, high-value programs and assure timely and efficient execution of the portfolio.
• Procurement planning during bidding phase; understand contracts, BOMs, and develop RFPs.
• Post-award procurement planning and implementation on major projects; transfer bid documents and engage with project teams.
• Understand market conditions, pricing trends, lead times, and supplier opportunities to inform procurement plans.
