Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Senior Purchasing Agent to drive procurement strategies across bidding, vendor selection, and contract execution. This role interfaces with executive, engineering, sales, and manufacturing teams to ensure timely delivery and compliance.

Responsibilities include planning during bidding, post-award implementation, market intelligence, and managing contract documents; travel to sites and vendors as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 7 years of related experience.
• Experience sourcing, negotiating contracts with OEMs, construction/subcontractors and fabricators.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities; familiarity with accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Procurement planning during the bidding phase and developing comprehensive RFPs.
• Post-award procurement planning and implementation on major projects and programs.
• Understanding market conditions: pricing trends, lead times, best value opportunities.
• Reading, understanding, and interpreting contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules.
• Traveling to project sites, manufacturers, and vendors as needed.
