M.C. Dean is seeking a Senior Purchasing Agent for its Modular Mission Critical production operations just north of Richmond, VA.

This role coordinates between the Procurement team and internal stakeholders including Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing to assure timely, cost-effective procurement across high-value programs. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of related experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office, SharePoint, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant Purchasing experience sourcing, negotiating contracts with Original Equipment Manufacturers, construction /specialty trade subcontractors and fabricators.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Procurement planning during the bidding phase.
• Post award procurement planning and implementation on major projects and programs.
• Transferring bid phase documents and knowledge to the project team.
• Engaging with the project team on procurement planning & implementation.
• Capturing and communicating market intelligence across projects & programs.
• Understanding, evaluating, and incorporating current market conditions into procurement plans.
