Job summary

Aramco Americas Company is seeking a procurement professional to plan the procurement cycle, procure basic goods and services, and maximize cost savings through negotiation and project management. The role involves controlling supply chain flows, managing materials, and executing procurement contracts per SCMM standards.

The candidate should have a SCM-related degree, professional certifications (CPSM/CSCP/CPIM desirable), strong analytical skills, and proficient business software abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in SCM, Purchasing, Materials Management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or closely related Degrees.
• Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) by ISM or CSCP by APICS; with one (1) each desirable.
• CPIM by APICS is desirable; equivalent certifications from ISM/APICS/CIPS acceptable.
• Good working knowledge of sources of supply and the suitability of materials.
• Ability to analyze factors, monitor market conditions, and make sound recommendations.
• Proficient with business software applications.

Responsibilities

• Writes procurement plans and reviews/awards recommendations after management approval.
• Conducts negotiation meetings and uses cost analysis and price indices to maximize value with suppliers.
• Evaluates total cost of acquisition and ownership for materials and services.
• Processes requisitions into procurement instruments to supply cost-efficient goods and services per requirements and SCMM rules.
• Engages in strategic sourcing to reduce total supply chain costs.
• Performs trade compliance activities to ensure supplier input for trade reviews.
• Supports procurement-related tasks under P&L direction and suggests procedure improvements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
