Aston Carter is partnering with a leading manufacturer in Morton Grove, IL to hire a Buyer. The role blends tactical purchasing with strategic sourcing, supporting supplier development and cost optimization in a hybrid procurement environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in purchasing/procurement, ERP/MRP experience, and a background in packaging or raw materials. Hybrid schedule with 3–4 days in-office, located in Morton Grove, IL.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or buying roles.
• Experience with ERP and MRP planning processes.
• Background in manufacturing, packaging, or raw materials procurement.

Responsibilities

• Manage approximately $20M in spend across corrugate, labels, and packaging.
• Execute PO management, inventory planning, and material replenishment.
• Run and maintain MRP-driven planning within ERP.
• Support multiple facilities to ensure timely material availability.
• Monitor inventory levels, outages, and supplier performance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and leadership.
• Lead or support sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and RFPs.
• Assist NPD projects with packaging solutions, pricing, testing, and rollout.
