Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Purchasing Agent for a contract-to-hire role in Dundalk, MD. You will coordinate procurement of bulk materials, manage receiving, and maintain accurate records to support production and compliance.

This role requires experience in procurement, ERP systems, and supplier coordination. You will monitor inventory, resolve delivery issues, and help ensure timely shipments and accurate documentation across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with regulated environments is preferred.
• Strong documentation controls and supplier follow-up.
• Detail-oriented with accurate record-keeping.
• Good cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement and receipt of bulk materials, packaging, and services.
• Monitor inventory levels, usage trends, and schedules to prevent shortages.
• Work with plant operations and suppliers to resolve delivery issues.
• Maintain procurement records and contract-related documents in systems.
• Prepare and review procurement and inventory reports.
• Process receiving activity for raw materials.
• Support shipment documentation and invoicing coordination.
• Maintain product tracking and lot information.
• Print and verify tote labels with lot and production data.
• Participate in quality programs and supplier evaluations.
