Job summary

Aston Carter seeks an Inventory Coordinator for a 6-month contract-to-hire in Middle River, MD. You will oversee receipt, movement, and delivery of materials to support production, maintain stock records, and ensure material availability on the shop floor via ERP systems and SOP compliance.

You will perform data entry, cycle counting, FIFO processes, and collaborate with production teams to align with transfer orders and schedules; this is a fully onsite role with a 2nd shift on the 3:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in inventory control or management.
• Experience in aerospace, automotive, or heavy manufacturing preferred.
• Proficient with ERP/MRP systems and MS Office.
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to follow SOPs consistently.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound goods per FIFO and SOPs.
• Ensure on-time delivery against production plans.
• Maintain Kanban material supply to shop floor.
• Manage raw material movements and stock levels.
• Reconcile ERP and physical inventory discrepancies.
• Participate in daily cycle counts.
• Support shipping and receiving as needed.
• Document inventory transactions in ERP.
