Job summary

Cyera, a leader in AI data security, seeks a Procurement Counsel to join its global legal team in the United States. You will own end-to-end procurement, drafting and negotiating vendor agreements across SaaS, cloud, and services, and design scalable processes to support Cyera's growth.

This role collaborates with Finance, Procurement, Security and IT, handling cross-border matters and leveraging AI tools to accelerate review and governance. The ideal candidate has a J.D.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with active bar membership.
• 5–7+ years in procurement counseling, vendor management, and strategic sourcing in high-growth tech.
• Excellent drafting and communication; able to explain legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
• Experience with global data privacy, cybersecurity, and AI regulatory frameworks (GDPR/CCPA/EU AI Act).
• Deep expertise in process mapping, workflow automation, and CLM/ERP/spend management platforms.
• Strategic focus on reducing total cost of ownership and improving operational efficiency.
• Strong knowledge of IP, indemnification, liability, data privacy, and SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end procurement and vendor lifecycle processes with scalable framework.
• Draft, negotiate, and advise on global vendor and procurement agreements (SaaS, cloud, services, licensing).
• Balance legal risk with business objectives, including security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Use data-driven metrics to reduce contract cycle times and drive improvements.
• Develop playbooks, templates, approval workflows, and governance for a growing global business.
• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Security, IT and other stakeholders for pragmatic guidance.
• Triage inbound requests and escalate complex cross-border matters to outside counsel as needed.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate contract review and redlining; optimize legal workflows.
