Job summary

The Mom Project is seeking an experienced Corporate Counsel to manage AI-related procurement and licensing in a hybrid/remote role in the US. You will draft and negotiate complex agreements, advise business leaders, and shape data and AI strategy while ensuring IP and data protection across the organization.

The role requires 5+ years in technology transactions, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and the ability to translate regulatory risk into practical guidance for internal clients.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission to at least one US state.
• 5+ years of experience in technology transactions, software/SaaS, or AI/data matters.
• Strong drafting, negotiating, and communication skills; high analytical and business judgment.

Responsibilities

• Operational Excellence: manage a rapid pipeline of deal inquiries with risk-mitigation.
• Contracting: draft and negotiate AI procurement, SaaS, and data licensing agreements.
• Oversight: lead negotiation process and quality control for CLM with AI tools.
• Thought Leadership: stay current on AI/data regulations and translate into playbooks.
• Collaboration: drive cross-functional initiatives related to contracts, data and AI strategy.
• Strategic Guidance: translate regulatory risks into practical advice for internal clients.
• Innovation Champion: leverage AI-powered analytics to automate routine tasks for high-value work.
• Trusted Advisor: build relationships guiding on contracting terms in product roadmaps and GTMs.
