Job summary

Cisco is seeking a seasoned counsel to join our Legal team to lead AI-related procurement, SaaS and data licensing contracts, and navigate complex negotiations across product roadmaps and GTM strategies. You will leverage AI tools to streamline review while delivering practical risk guidance to internal clients.

The role requires at least five years in technology transactions, JD, bar admission, and strong drafting, negotiation, and business judgment.

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent from an accredited law school.
• Admission to at least one U.S. state bar or relevant jurisdiction.
• At least five years of relevant legal experience in technology transactions, software/SaaS, or AI/data matters.
• Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills; high level of analytical and business judgment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a rapid pipeline of deal inquiries with risk mitigation.
• Draft and negotiate AI procurement, SaaS, and data licensing agreements.
• Lead negotiation process and quality control for CLM with AI tools.
• Stay current on AI/data contracting trends and translate into internal playbooks and guidelines.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives related to contracts, data and AI strategy.
• Translate regulatory risks into practical advice for internal clients.
• Leverage AI-powered analytics to automate routine tasks and focus on high-value negotiations.
• Build strong relationships across the business on legal and contractual issues.
