Job summary

EY is seeking a Category Management & Sourcing Consulting Manager with deep expertise in strategic procurement. You will lead a team of consultants to assess client category management and source-to-contract capabilities, deliver cost reduction, and optimize sourcing strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in strategic sourcing and category management, with at least 2 years in procurement consulting.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
• Category experience in indirect or direct category management.
• Experience shaping solutions that drive total cost reduction or capability improvement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a client-facing consultant to assess opportunities for strategic procurement improvement.
• Lead process workshops, guide discussions, and identify opportunities for total cost reduction.
• Identify challenges in category management and recommend innovative solutions leveraging leading practices.
• Develop approaches, work plans, and support program management of engagements.
• Own deliverables throughout the project lifecycle and ensure client alignment.
• Design and implement AI-driven procurement solutions to optimize decision-making and efficiency.
• Develop category expertise across multiple spend areas.
• Conduct spend and market analytics to support opportunity identification and cost reduction.
• Lead teams in strategic sourcing and other cost-reduction efforts.
• Mentor junior team members and coach best practices for opportunity assessment.
